Here is a live set from Andy Williams. We had the pleasure of hosting him last month for an amazing event in collaboration with Never Apart.

Educator Andy Williams’ commitment to music and its educational potential have spanned over 30 years. On radio, he has reached a wide audience in Toronto as the long-time host and producer of CKLN 88.1 FM’s “Mixed Bag”, and for the past 21 years on Montreal’s CKUT 90.3 FM’s “Solo for Two Voices”, “Jazz Euphorium” and “Jazz Amuck” (a show produced by John Braithwaite.), and “the goods” Sound System.

A recognized expert in and lover of jazz music, he has been invited to host the Toronto International Jazz Festival, the Montreal Jazz AIDS Benefit, and many other social events. Along with bringing music to new and experienced listeners through radio, deejaying, and lectures, Mr. Williams is involved with the musicians themselves. He has brought the Chicago Now Series to Montreal, and was the agent for former jazz saxophonist Billy Robinson, one of the last remaining Texas Tenors, and his quartet.

His latest project, Jazz Diaspora, brings together his skills as an educator, researcher, communicator and producer with his personal passion for music as an educational tool.
